Aged Care Gold Coast welcomes Eldercare Evanston Park in Evanston Park, SA 5116 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Eldercare Evanston Park was officially opened on 23rd April 2008, and was built according to best practice in aged care and dementia-friendly architecture and interior design.

Environment & Services

Evanston is one of our larger facilities, providing 100 individually air conditioned single rooms, in modern, spacious surroundings. Evanston Park prides itself on its personalised care, tailored to the needs of each resident. It is also innovative in its approach, and was chosen as the first facility to roll out Eldercare's new Dementia Excellence Program.

The facility features four enclosed courtyard gardens, as well as serene water features. Our expansive first floor balcony, with views of the Hills, is used during weekly "Happy Hours" and for regular social barbeques. Residents in our specialist memory unit enjoy a secure sensory garden.

Residents also look forward to seeing Ellie, our on site Pets As Therapy dog, when she does ‘the rounds'.

The on site hairdressing salon and large screen theatre area enhance the standard support services such as visiting podiatrist, physiotherapist, dentist and eye bus.

Activities

Our lifestyle program is well regarded, and the residents choose many of the outings and activities. The computer classes are very popular with residents, who use the equipment to Skype family and friends, and pursue their own interests.

Special events include our Christmas Carols and the Gawler Show, of which we are a major sponsor and exhibitor.

Community & Social Networks

We have the involvement of over a dozen different religious congregations, and offer regular Lutheran Church and Anglican services. Chaplain visits, in-house church services and communion are also available.

Many of our staff are long-serving, contributing to the continuity of care enjoyed by our residents.
