Eliza Purton Home is located on the hill overlooking the town of Ulverstone, with spectacular views of the mountains and the ocean. Ulverstone is situated 15 minutes from Devonport and 20 minutes from Burnie and boasts the infrastructure found in most cities, yet maintains the ambiance and peaceful quiet of a small seaside town.

The Eliza Purton Home is the original facility in the Island Care Group. It was established subsequent to building land that was generously donated by William Purton. The home was named after his beloved mother and was officially opened in 1964.
